Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 18 September 2026

These terms apply when you book work with Apex Gas & Heating and when you use this website. Please read them before accepting a quote. They do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. About us

Apex Gas & Heating is the trading name of APEX GAS AND HEATING LTD, company number 16515662, of 115 Spring Plat, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 7DF. All our engineers who carry out gas work are on the Gas Safe Register. Phone or WhatsApp: 07555 305402. Email: apexgasandheating25@gmail.com.

2. Quotes

  • Our quotes are fixed-price for the work described in them and are valid for 10 days.
  • Quotes are based on what we can see during the survey or from the information you give us. If we find something that could not reasonably have been seen beforehand, such as hidden damaged pipework, we will explain it and agree any extra cost with you before doing the extra work.
  • A contract is formed when you accept our quote in writing, by message or by email, or when you ask us to start work.

3. Appointments and access

  • We will agree an appointment with you and let you know if we are running late.
  • Please make sure an adult is present, the work area is accessible, and pets are kept away from the work area.
  • If you need to rearrange, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice. We do not charge for missed appointments.

4. Your right to cancel

If you agree to our quote at your home, by phone or online, you normally have 14 days from the date of the contract to cancel without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. To cancel, contact us using the details above.

  • If you ask us to start work within the 14-day period and then cancel, you will need to pay for the work carried out up to the point you told us you were cancelling.
  • If the work has been fully completed at your request within the 14 days, you lose the right to cancel.
  • If you asked us to visit to carry out urgent repairs or maintenance, such as a breakdown callout, the right to cancel does not apply to that urgent work.
  • We will refund any money due within 14 days of your cancellation, using the same payment method you used.

5. Payment

  • No deposit: we do not ask for a deposit, including for boiler installations.
  • Payment is due on completion of the work unless we have agreed otherwise.
  • We accept all common payment methods, including bank transfer, debit and credit card, and cash.
  • Parts and equipment remain our property until they are paid for in full.

6. Our work and your guarantees

  • We will carry out all work with reasonable care and skill, in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, manufacturers’ instructions and current regulations.
  • All gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers. New boiler installations are notified to building control through the Gas Safe Register, and you will receive a Building Regulations compliance certificate.
  • Our workmanship guarantee: we guarantee our own workmanship for 2 years from the date the work is completed. If something we installed or repaired fails because of the way we did the work, we will put it right at no cost to you.
  • Manufacturer warranties: as a Worcester Bosch Accredited Installer, qualifying installations can carry a warranty of up to 12 years. Manufacturer warranties are provided by the manufacturer on its own terms, which usually require the boiler to be registered and serviced every year.
  • Our guarantee does not cover faults caused by misuse, accidental damage, work by other people, or problems with parts of your system we did not work on.

7. Unsafe appliances

If we find a gas appliance or installation that is unsafe, we must follow the Gas Industry Unsafe Situations Procedure. We will explain the danger to you and, where necessary, make the appliance safe, which may include turning it off or disconnecting it with your permission. We will then give you a warning notice. For your safety, please do not use an appliance that has been labelled as unsafe.

8. Liability

  • We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
  • We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
  • We are not responsible for faults or damage that existed before our work and that were not caused by us, such as existing corroded pipework or sludge in a heating system, although we will tell you if we see them.
  • Our services are for domestic customers. We are not liable for business losses.

9. Complaints

If you are not happy with our work, please tell us. Our complaints procedure explains how we handle complaints and what to do if we cannot resolve yours.
